Your mental load, finally under control
You don't need a family to be overwhelmed by mental load. Shopping, planning, tasks, stress — Coco doesn't just listen, it acts: it adds, plans and organizes for you.
When you live alone, Mental Loadless works as an external memory: groceries, appointments, paperwork, reminders and recurring chores sit in one app, and Coco, the built-in assistant, adds or schedules them from a single sentence. Week after week, the app also shows you which days weigh the most.

What Mental Loadless does for you, solo
Smart shopping
Tell Coco 'out of milk' — it's added. History, suggestions, receipt scanning. No more lost lists.
Planning & tasks
Calendar with reminders, recurring tasks, import from your existing calendar. Everything in one place.
Stress management
30-second weekly check-in (rumination, energy, satisfaction), 8-week trend, protected Me Time in the calendar.
Secure private space
Notes, personal tasks, mood journal — protected by biometrics. Your space, yours alone.
Coco AI — the assistant that acts
Chat + hands-free voice. Coco doesn't just reply: it adds to shopping, plans the week, scans a photo and turns it into an action. AI data processed in the European Union (GDPR).
What do you carry when you live alone?
When you live alone, nobody thinks on your behalf. The mental load, the work of anticipating, deciding and checking, is yours in full, with no second memory to catch what slips. In an OpinionWay survey (2026), 64% of French people felt that if they did not think of everything, some chores would never get done at home. When you are the only adult at home, that is simply a fact.
| Area | What you have to keep in mind | What the app does with it |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | bills, deadlines, letters, renewals | an email forwarded to the household address becomes a dated task or an event |
| Health | appointments, renewals, follow-ups | an event with a reminder, recurring if needed |
| Home | groceries, cupboards, use-by dates, upkeep | a shopping list, stock by storage spot, a morning alert for items about to expire |
| Social life | birthdays, invitations, keeping in touch | birthdays in the calendar, an alert three days before |
Paperwork is often the heaviest part: our article on life admin breaks down what it covers.
How do you get all of this out of your head?
A list holds tasks, not deadlines: you still have to remember to read it. The app takes over on four fronts.
- Say it. "Out of coffee", "dentist Tuesday at 5 pm", "move the appointment to Thursday": Coco adds the item, creates or moves the event, by text or by voice.
- Forward it. A letter, a PDF bill or a calendar invite sent to the household email address turns into events, tasks or grocery items, and can be undone for 24 hours.
- Schedule it. "Every Friday, remind me about the bins" becomes a rule that runs on its own.
- Get reminded. A morning briefing, a reminder before each appointment, an alert when something in the fridge nears its date.
Anything destructive asks for confirmation first, and an undo button is there afterwards: handing over the typing does not mean handing over control.
What does the app measure when you are the only adult?
The Mental Load Index normally measures each adult's share of the household load. On your own, you carry all of it by definition, so there is no split to calculate. What the app does track:
- a 30-day index, built from your calendar and your tasks;
- the heaviest day of the week, and how things move over 8 weeks;
- a 30-second weekly check-in: what kept running through your head, your energy, and whether the week's organization suited you;
- a personal monthly report on the Solo plan, set against the previous month.
It is not a grade but a marker, a way to see which weeks weigh and why. Skipping a check-in triggers no counter and no nudge.
What if you are raising children on your own?
It is the same load, with children on top. In France in 2020, one in four families with at least one minor child was a single-parent family, 2.0 million in all, 82% of them headed by a mother (Insee Focus No. 249).
The app keeps children in the loop without handing them the steering wheel: reminders on their own phone, an "arrived safely" button that notifies the parent, tabs opened child by child. When the other parent is part of daily life, shared custody links both homes around the child. For the wider picture, see the app for families.
Where do you start when you live alone?
- Offload what is lingering. Write to Coco whatever keeps circling in your head: each item becomes an event, a task or a grocery item.
- Forward three emails. The last three admin letters waiting in your inbox, sent to the household address.
- Do your first check-in. Measurement starts with the first cycle.
- Come back in a month. See which day stands out, and what fills it.
